FDIC Coverage

The maximum FDIC deposit insurance amount has temporarily increased to $250,000 through December 31, 2013.

Coastal Commerce Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program also includes full coverage for IOLTA accounts and NOW* accounts earning .25% or less interest. To have full FDIC insurance coverage, the interest rate on your NOW* account will remain at .25% or below till December 31, 2010. The rate may increase on your NOW* account after December 31, 2010.

Coastal Commerce Bank has a Kasasa Cash Checking account available that has a significantly higher rate of interest and includes up to $250,000 of FDIC insurance coverage. Please contact one of our account representatives for more details.
